1. Despite the routine nature of studying home-range (HR) overlap, a formal inferential framework for overlap analyses has only recently emerged. This allows computation approximate confidence intervals (CIs) Bhattacharyya coefficient (BC), pairwise metric with basis in distributional similarity. However, prior comparisons common metrics suggest that utilization distribution index (UDOI) is preferred over BC HR which measure space sharing desired, rather than pure 2.
